1. Register with Centrelink straight away to assess your eligibility for financial assistance and support.
2. Use Centrelink’s financial information service officers for independent financial advice.
3. Take advantage of the services your employer offers you as part of your redundancy, such as outplacement support and professional career advice.
4. Take the time to think about your career opportunities/options.
5. Take advantage of the assistance you may be entitled to with your employment service provider, including training, resume advice and interview tips.
