SUNSHINE Eagles starting pitcher Rory Meddick (pictured) capped a wonderful season by scooping the most sought-after division 2 awards at the Baseball Victoria presentation ceremony at the MCG on Friday night.
Meddick, who last month claimed the club’s most valuable player in a year in which the Eagles earned promotion back to the top flight, walked away with the Robert R Hindson Medal for the second tier MVP to go with the pitching award.
Eagles player-coach Shaun Moore was named coach of the year and junior co-ordinator Glenn Letts volunteer of the year.
