Nike FC Cup
Calder United has been knocked out of the Nike FC Cup in heartbreaking fashion. Calder trailed Alamein 1-0 at half time before leveling the scores in the second half at 1-1. The game went to extra time, with Alaemin getting the winner and progressing through 2-1.
Australia Cup
North Sunshine Eagles’ run in the Australia Cup has come to an end on Tuesday night against Nunawading City. The Eagles opened the scoring in the sixth minute through Kaan Elibol before Nunawading scored two quick goals to take the lead. Nunawading scored either side of half time to increase the lead and eventually won 4-1.
Basketball
Keilor Thunder will be among the highest represented Victorian clubs at the 2025 National Junior Classic on the long weekend. The annual invitational tournament, bringing together 128 top-tier boys’ and girls’ teams from Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales and the ACT. Keilor’s under-14, 16 and 18 boys teams have been selected along with the under-14 and under-18 girls.
