Police are calling for witnesses after timber fell from a truck on the Western Ring Road in Sunshine earlier this month, causing a collision between a car and motorcycle.
The truck was travelling north in between Fitzgerald and Ballarat roads on the Ring Road just before 3pm on Tuesday October 6, when wood fell from it, hitting the windscreen of a car travelling behind.
The driver of the car swerved and a motorcyclist ran into the back of it.
The rider, a 32-year-old Broadmeadows man, was treated at the scene for minor injuries, while the driver of the car was not injured.
Police are seeking to identify the driver of the truck. The truck was described as white with an ‘oversize’ notice at the rear.
