Two men have been arrested in relation to a shooting in Kings Park on Sunday afternoon.

A man in his 20s has been taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital after sustaining gunshot wounds at a house in Shepherd’s Grove.

“Emergency services were called to a residence in Shepherds Grove this afternoon just after 3pm where a man in his 20s had sustained a gunshot wound to his leg,” Victoria Police spokesman Paul Turner Turner said.

“He was conveyed to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”

Leading Senior Constable Turner said a man in his 50s was arrested on the scene.

“[He] is currently assisting with inquiries.”

He said another man, believed to be in his 20s, was later arrested and was assisting police with their inquiries.

“All parties are believed to be known to each other.”

This is the 12th shooting, including a fatal in Melbourne, in the past month.
