Parents had the opportunity to join in the fun at St Albans Heights Primary School last Thursday.
The COVID-19 pandemic has kept parents out of the classroom for the past 12 months, preventing them from seeing firsthand what their children get up to each day.
That changed last week with the school holding a parents meet and greet event.
School community liaison officer Leanne Etemovic said before the event that it was a good way of getting the school spirit up and going.
At the event, the parents participated in some games, including some that involved getting to know the teachers more.
“This is the first [event]for a while where we can have parents at the school and we want to let the community know they are very welcoming and we’re back on track,“ Ms Etemovic said.
“We want to try and get the community back involved with the school.”
