Visual artist to ‘Light Up Brimbank’

Visual artist Carla O’Brien will be coming to St Albans and Sunshine Town centres for Light Up Brimbank as part of the Enjoy Local Activation Program.

The five-day event beginning on Friday, May 13 is set to feature neon sculptures, live music and roving artists.

The Enjoy Local activation is funded by the state government department of jobs, precincts and regions.

Brimbank mayor Jasmine Nguyen said the event would be a enjoyable event for families.

“These Enjoy Local events are sure to be great fun for all the family,” Nguyen said.

“The fabulous neon sculptures created by visual artist Carla O’Brien will light up the town centres of St Albans and Sunshine during this five-day event.”

“Carla has become well-known for her neon sculptures that will be shining bright in Brimbank, including neon angel wings, a butterfly, kite, flamingo, umbrella, and more.”
