Braybrook students dance to a Latin beat

The growing relationship between an Altona dance school and a Braybrook college will hit its creative peak with a special, all-campus performance this Thursday.

Caroline Chisholm Catholic College students have been getting a taste of Latin American culture through a partnership with Celebrar A Vida Dance.

The dance school, whose approach emphasises physical fitness and social engagement, ran Latin dance workshops last month for 10 year 9 students.

A special performance, part of a junior arts program, will be given this Thursday at the college.

Dance teacher Cailin Debrincat says the college has worked with the dance company in the past and she promises more projects to come.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate their skills to their peers, teachers and the whole college community in a fun and inviting way.”
