St Albans man charged following cable robbery

Police have charged a 37-year-old St Albans man following the alleged theft of copper in Brimbank.

Police allege approximately 1.5 kilometres of cabling was stolen and damaged near railway stations at Sunshine, Ginifer and St Albans in June and July.

Police arrested a man near St Albans railway station just before 1pm on Tuesday, July 26.

The man has been charged with four counts of theft, three counts of criminal damage, going equipped and commit indictable offence whilst on bail.
