Premiership cup lands in Brimbank

The AFL premiership cup has officially landed in Brimbank.

Mother of God Primary School was one of three lucky schools in Brimbank this week that received a visit from the league’s holy grail in the hands of happy Western Bulldogs staff.

Getting into the action was principal Gerard Broadfoot, a life-long Dogs fan who was born in 1954, the year of the club’s first premiership, and the school’s biggest fan, Nathan Goncalves, who went to the grand final on October 1 when the Dogs beat the Sydney Swans by 22 points, ending a 62 year premiership drought.

The cup also visited Sunshine Harvester and Albion North primary schools yesterday.
