Brimbank locals are invited to attend a local police forum to meet local police officers and discuss relevant issues.
The Victorian Police Neighbourhood Policing Forum welcomes local services and community members to talk with police about what issues are important in the local community.
The forum will discuss topics such as current crime trends and crime prevention, family violence, young people, road policing; and drugs and drug related crime.
Local Area Commander Inspector Matthew Bui said it was a really good opportunity to get to know local police.
He said the previous forum had been a success.
Inspector Bui said there would be members with significant knowledge from the Brimbank policing area at the event.
“We want residents to share information with us and we welcome as many people as possible to come to the event.”
“This is an opportunity to strengthen local partnerships by sharing information that can assist with decision-making going forward,” he said.
Inspector Bui, who was appointed to the role in January, said they want to continue to strength local partnerships by sharing information that can assist with decision-making.
He said getting out and meeting the community was a big focus.
The forum will be held on Wednesday, June 11, at Skylight (Club Italia Sunshine) from 5.30-8.30pm.
