Reducing the numbers of abandoned and unwanted cats and kittens is the target of a low-cost desexing session in Brimbank.

The Lost Dogs’ Home is bringing its mobile van to Brimbank on April 9-11, offering cat desexing for $54.

Cats must be in good health and aged between nine weeks and eight-years-old.

The Lost Dogs’ Home mobile desexing service was launched in 2016 in a bid to help manage the feline population. Since then, 363 cats from Brimbank have been desexed.

The Lost Dogs Home is offering Brimbank residents low-cost cat desexing.
Almost 400 Brimbank cats have been desexed since 2016.

Brimbank residents can also have their cats microchipped and registered with the council.

The van will be at Westvale Community Centre, 45 Kings Road, Kings Park.
