Keilor Park house destroyed by fire

Five people escaped a fire at a house in Keilor Park early on Tuesday afternoon.

Fire Rescue Victoria crews were called to a house fire at Julia Way at 12.11pm.

The rear living areas of the house were already engulfed and had spread to the roof when firefighters arrived on the scene.

All five occupants had evacuated the premises before crews arrived.

The fire was under control in less than 20 minutes.

The cause of the fire is being investigated but isn’t believed to be suspicious.

Victoria Police is assisting the occupants with alternate accommodation.
