House fire in St Albans

A house fire in St Albans this morning is being investigated by emergency services.

Fire Rescue Victoria crews were called to the East Esplanade property about 7.35am following reports of smoke and flames coming from the house.

When crews arrived the weatherboard house was fully alight.

There was no one inside the house and the fire was brought under control in 25 minutes.

FRV investigators will work with Victoria Police to determine the cause of the fire.
