House fire in Kings Park

Six firefighter crews responded to a house fire in Kings Park on Wednesday night, June 11.

Crews arrived at the Covar Place scene at 5.41pm, finding the 15-metre by 20-metre single storey brick house well alight.

The fire started in the back half of the property and reached the roof space.

One occupant had safely evacuated before crews arrived.

Firefighters escalated the response, sending additional firefighters and appliances.

Donning breathing apparatus, crews worked to attack the fire, bringing it under control at 6.18pm.

A community advice warning has been issued for smoke in the area.
