A St Albans-based filmmaker is set to shine on the big stage.
Saidin Salkic’s films The Arrival of a Phoenix and Silence’s Crescendo will both screen at the Adelaide Film Festival on October 19.
Salkic said the films will offer the audience a complete experience.
“It’s very exciting to have two of my films screening. I think the combination really shows my range as a filmmaker,” he said.
“They’re vastly different films.
The Arrival of a Phoenix is a poetic film whereas Silence’s Crescendo is a black and white horror/thriller.”
Salkic will hold a Q and A after the screenings and said he’s excited to receive live feedback.
“Silence’s Crescendo has [been] called ‘the most nightmareish horror film you’ll see,” he said.
