Driver nabbed at twice the limit

Brimbank Highway Patrol have nabbed a driver travelling at almost twice the speed limit near a school in Delahey today.

Police clocked a Mazda Tribute allegedly travelling at 119km/h in a 60km/h zone on Taylors Road about 12.30pm.

Police intercepted the vehicle and immediately impounded it for 30 days.

The driver, a 22-year-old Burnside Heights man, is expected to be charged on summons with exceed speed and other speed-related offences.
