Buses will replace trains between Sunshine and Subury stations for almost the entirety of June as planned works take place to upgrade the Sunbury line.

Public Transport Victoria advise travellers to allow an extra 35 minutes between Friday, June 3 from 9pm to the last service on Wednesday, June 29.

The upgrades will allow for bigger, more modern trains to run more often on the line in future.

Train stations affected will be Sunbury, Diggers rest, Watergardens, Keilor Plains, St Albans, Ginifer, Albion and Sunshine stations.

Express and limited express buses will run from Watergardens to Sunshine Station and then stop at all stations to Sunbury.

From Monday to Friday buses will depart at various times through either express, limited express or stopping at all stations.
