Two men from St Albans have been charged with armed robbery following an early morning service station hold up yesterday.
Police had been told an armed man threatened a staff member before running from the Station Road and Main Road West store with the cash register in his arms at 5am.
A short time later, members from Keilor Downs saw a man fitting the description of the armed robber with another person running along Gladstone Street.
After a short struggle and the deployment of capsicum spray the pair were arrested in the front garden of a private home.
Police also located clothing, cash and a knife allegedly used in the robbery.
Keilor Downs police also charged a Sunshine North man last Wednesday morning with drug and firearm offences after allegedly finding a pen pistol and drugs in the man’s possession.
Three men were also charged by Sunshine police last Thursday night with drug offences after locating a house full of mature cannabis plants.
