TYPHOON HAIYAN: Keilor Downs woman found safe

A Keilor Downs woman feared missing following Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines has reportedly been found.

“She’s OK,” her father Werner Reimann told Fairfax Media.

“She sent a text message today. She’s fine, because she’s in El Nido.”

Ms Reimann’s family had been concerned after not hearing from the traveller for three days.

“She texted us before the typhoon hit and there was just a lot of rain in the area where she was,” Mr Reimann said.

More to come.

A Keilor Downs woman is missing in the Philippines after the deadly Typhoon Haiyan ravaged the country over the weekend.

A Melbourne radio station reported that Maiko Michelle Reimann was from Keilor Downs.

Originally from Cairns, Ms Reimann packed in an advertising and TV production job to embark on a “world adventure with no end date” in May.

She last posted on her Twitter account from Palawan Island, Philippines on November 6.

The death toll from Typhoon Haiyan is expected to be over 10,000.
