All revved up for the Aces by the Bay car show

Car lovers are being urged to cruise into the Aces by the Bay show in Williamstown this month.

The Smokin’ Aces Rod, Muscle and Custom Club will hold its fourth annual Show and Shine Family Festival at Seaworks on Sunday, November 15.

There’ll be more than 350 cars as well as food, merchandise, children’s rides and a rock ’n’roll band.

President David Portelli said the club was expecting up to 5000 people through the gates.

The event is being held with Challenge, a cancer support network, to raise funds for children with cancer.

Club member George Mallia, of Point Cook, will enter his 1969 Corvette Stingray in the show.

“Mine came from California in the States,” he said. “I’ve owned it for about eight years … and it was last year I rebuilt it. It’s a steel bumper bar show, so as long as the vehicle came out with steel bumper bars, it’s accepted.”

Aces by the Bay will be from 10am-4pm at Seaworks, 82 Nelson Place, Williamstown.

Entry is $5 for adults, with children under 14 admitted free.

Cars can be entered on the day for $20, which includes entry for two adults, or for $15 prior to the day.
