Sevens Pizza is something special

Who doesn’t love a pizza, especially when it’s made with love by Italians who have the crusty deliciousness in their blood?

Salvatore Rizzo, owner of Sevens Pizza Kitchen for more than four years, has a granddad who ran cafes in his homeland, as well as a dad “who grew up in pizza shops”, absorbing all the techniques for creating a great pizza and tasty pasta dishes.

Dad is on the pans now, serving up Italian recipes, with their own unique twist, the result of father and son bringing to life their shared vision of how food should taste and present.

“Together we have 49 years’ industry experience under our belts, me with business management credentials and dad with years as a qualified chef,” Salvatore says. “We make a good fit to see our business grow as we continue to deliver great food and Italian-style hospitality.

“Our whole crew is close-knit, underscoring the family feel of our shop. Our customers appreciate our ‘family’ style. For example, there’s Alex who works front of house and is regularly referred to as
‘that nice girl’; or Cameron, a die-hard Richmond Tigers supporter who’s always up for a chat about the footy. It’s our lovely customer like Cameron who make our work so rewarding.”

Sneak-apeek at the menu
As well as pizza, pasta, and chargrilled Angus porterhouse and rump steaks, the parmas are something special. Sevens Pizza offers customers their favourite pizza topping on their parma, such as a capricciosa or Mexican (or any other), transforming it into an extra-moreish treat.

The pizza choices are extensive, with a few “different” ones on board, such as haloumi and lamb, wild mushroom, and smoked pulled pork, salmon or duck.

Of course, all the traditional pizzas are available, too, while the new Brazilian and the Tuscan are winning fans.

Fresh salads are available, as are meals of barramundi fillets, chargrilled chicken breasts, steak sangers, and devilled wings – among many others. And the eggplant chips are a snacky treat for vegos.

Sweet-lovers are well taken care of, with sticky date pudding, Nutella calzones, pancakes and dessert fries joining a substantial list of other indulgent desserts.

And there are always “specials” of some sort – see the website.
