Jack floats his hit design for Moomba

A young Caroline Springs designer’s hard work and inspiration will be seen live by almost 90,000 people next week.

Jake’s float design, Flying Man, was one of just six created by young people at a Moomba Design Your Own Float workshop last year, and it will now feature at the iconic parade on Monday.

Jake, a student at Christ the Priest Primary School, said his design was inspired by playing soccer with his brothers.

The usual massive Melbourne crowd is expected next Monday as the colourful parade of community floats, cultural performers and professional and amateur dance troupes make their way down St Kilda Road.
