Crime Stoppers and Victoria Police are calling on Brimbank residents to help boost safety across the municipality.
A new campaign, Say Something, asks residents to report any information on crime through to the Crime Stoppers’ call centre or website.
Brimbank Local Area Commander, Inspector Dallas Normington, said information from the community can prove vital.
“A safe community is one that cares – please care for your friends, family and neighbours by sharing information you may have.
“Crime Stoppers is a safe and trusted link between police and the community,” he said.
“Even the smallest piece of information could be valuable intelligence or a link in an investigation; so if you see something or think you know something please pick up the phone or report online.”
Crime Stoppers Victoria chief executive Stella Smith said all reports are confidential.
“If you see something, say something. Our service is confidential and you can remain anonymous. We don’t want to know who you are, just what you know,” Ms Smith said.

Since its foundation in 1987, the information provided to Crime Stoppers Victoria has led to more than 24,000 arrests, 93,000 charges and property, drugs and cash valued at $250 million recovered.
