Some of the state’s best scooter riders are set to roll into Brimbank these school holidays and locals have the chance to join them on the ramps.

Grit Scooters is kicking off its Grit Pro Team Tour around Victoria with a stop at Braybrook on Thursday, October 5.

Grit Scooters’ riders Angus Varney and Charlie Stamp will be offering mentoring sessions, sharing the benefits of being part of a team of unique kids and young adults.

They’ll also show off some of their wildest tricks and stunts.

The event, which was organised by Australian-based sports company Active Outthere, will also feature group lessons and a best trick competition.

Active Outthere chief executive Brett Varga said it was a great opportunity for some active fun these school holidays.

“We know how desperate parents become during the school holidays trying to entertain the kids, and we also know scooter riding [as a sport] is gaining in popularity every year,” he said.

“We wanted to bring together some of the best riders in Australia from the Grit, Crisp and District teams to meet aspiring riders, teach them a few tricks, put on a bit of a ramp show, and to promote the benefits of being part of a team.”

The event will take place at Rampfest Indoor Skate Park, 47-85 Hilary Street, Braybrook from 11am to 1pm.
