Local dance schools to mix with the professionals

An internationally successful dance show will head to Braybrook this weekend.

After two years on tour and a recent run in London’s West End, Beats on Pointe will hold one of four Melbourne shows at Caroline Chisolm Catholic College’s Quin Auditorium this Saturday.

Prior to the performance, a showcase will be held which features dance routines from the local dance community.

Local dance schools will perform a 3-5 minute routine of their choosing before the main event.

Afterwards they’ll have the opportunity to take part in a meet and greet with the cast.

Beats on Pointe Masters of Choreography Milo Peric said it was a fantastic way for local and professional dancers to mix.

“This is an exciting opportunity for everyone involved,” he said.

“It showcases professional  performers on stage in front of a very receptive audience, gives them the opportunity to meet dancers from local schools and see what they have been working on.
