A newly converted mobile bus will provide additional maternal and child health services to parts of Brimbank.

Brimbank mayor Margaret Giudice said the bus was an important step in catering for the growing community.

“Brimbank council is committed to delivering programs that improve the health and wellbeing of families in our culturally and linguistically diverse community,” she said.

The service will be available to families at locations such as community centres, shopping centres and children’s and family events.

Brimbank council has invested $28,000 in the bus.

Gellibrand MP Tim Watts said the federal government had provided $20,000 to the project through the Stronger Community Program.
