FINAL year Victoria University arts student Elleah Nicholls and grade 1 St Albans Primary School pupil Brooklyn (pictured) have been getting creative, helping to paint a massive mural for the school.
The mural is part of a project being conducted by VU students who wanted to raise the profile of arts education in the west.
Organiser Joy Soundias said the assessment project was a way to give something back to the community.
“We wanted our assessment to raise the profile of something that was important in the west. We feel that arts education is something that is lacking in local schools and wanted to highlight the benefit and self expression it can give young students,” she said.
