Help plea over Kings Park assault

POLICE are appealing for information over a vicious assault and aggravated robbery in Kings Park last month.

The incident happened at a house in Kingdom Avenue about 8.30am on July 28.

Detectives said two men jumped a side fence and attempted to gain entry to the rear of the house.

Police said the men then knocked on the front door, which was opened by a Bentleigh East man, 26.

One of the attackers, who was armed with a knife, stabbed the victim several times.

Police said three other people, including a two-year-old child, were in the house at the time.

The men are believed to have fled in a dark-coloured car.
