Deer Park: Man shot in leg in aggravated home burglary

A MAN was shot in the leg during an aggravated burglary in Deer Park on Thursday.

Police were called to a property in Bayliss Road around 12.45am where they found the 29-year-old injured man.

Investigators have been told two men armed with firearms forced entry to the home and confronted the three people inside.

One of the men made a demand for money, which was handed over, and then shot the victim in the right leg.

Neither of the other people in the property were injured or threatened during the burglary.

The attackers are described as in their 20s, 180 centimetres tall and were wearing dark pants and hoodies. The second man had material covering his face.

The men are not believed to be known to the victim.
