CHILDREN like Kira, 4, will welcome a new all-abilities playground in St Albans that will be the first of its kind in the state.
The playground at Errington Reserve is a joint initiative of the Touched By Olivia Foundation, Brimbank Council and the Commonwealth Bank.
Project manager Rebecca Ho says the playground will cater for children with vision, hearing and mobility impairments and autism spectrum disorders.
It will feature a sensory garden and specialised equipment.
The council allocated space for the playground in its master plan for the reserve’s overhaul. Construction begins in early November.
