Two prison officers charged

DRUG taskforce detectives raided a house in Delahey last week after arresting two prison officers suspected of drug trafficking at Barwon prison.

Detectives found a small amount of cannabis and prescription drugs during raids, including of four properties in Geelong.

A Norlane man and a Grovedale man, both 40, were charged with trafficking a drug of dependence, misconduct in public office, and possessing a drug of dependence.

They will appear at Geelong Magistrates Court on September 26.

A woman, 31, and a man, 46, both prison officers from Norlane, and a Delahey man, 18, were interviewed and released pending further inquiries.
