Generosity kicking in

HAWTHORN star Jarryd Roughead (right) was at a WestWaters grants presentation last week.

The hotel-entertainment complex gave away $25,000 to sports and community groups.

Burnside, Spring Hills and Diggers Rest football clubs and Sydenham-Hillside Cricket Club each received $5000, while $2500 went to the Caroline Springs Animal Welfare Network and Taylors Hill Primary School.

Taylors Hill pupil Sienna Daniel (pictured) holds a giant cheque while flanked by Jessica Del Grosso, WestWaters director Joe Gauci, Rosie Sistov Daniel, Gloria Amici and a crouching Roughead.

WestWaters presents four rounds of grants to organisations in Melton Shire’s eastern corridor. Details: westwatershotel.com.au
