A DEER Park trader who was viciously attacked outside his kebab store says he wants to see a police station built in the suburb.
Tuncel Irgat was slashed with a syringe across his midsection just before 9pm on August 6, 2010.
The attack happened after he asked a group of youths drinking alcohol outside his shop to be quiet.
He has welcomed the expansion of police services in the region, but he says many traders still don’t feel safe, especially at night.
“The lighting in the street is terrible and people are afraid to go to the car park and get into their cars.
“We [the traders] are always looking out for each other, but what can we do?”
