A CONTROVERSIAL application to build three dwellings in Whitesides Avenue, Sunshine West, was approved by Brimbank Council last week.
The applicant plans to build two double-storey homes and one single-storey dwelling.
A proposal to build four single-storey residences at the same site was rejected by the council last year.
Administrator Meredith Sussex said the concerns of residents had been taken into account, but the council believed it was a reasonable outcome.
