PURE-bred dingo pups will be on show during a Dingo Discovery Centre fund-raiser.
The Toolern Vale centre will mark the births of two litters of pups at Melton’s Tabcorp Park on July 1.
Funds were also raised during a ‘doggy walk for dingoes’, organised by Cub Scouts like Shai and Brodie (pictured), around Lake Caroline in Caroline Springs earlier this month.
Centre co-founder Lyn Watson said the event showed an international connection between Scouts and wolf pack and cubs could be translated locally.
“The local Cub Scout group at Caroline Springs was quick to grasp that Australia could have its own brand of that relationship with the dingo. They took the idea to their own pack leaders.”
