RESIDENTS in Brimbank’s north will have easy access to council services after the opening of a customer service centre at Sydenham library.
Brimbank chairman Peter Lewinsky said residents could make payments, request services or get information about the council from Monday to Saturday.
“Each month council handles 12,500 calls and 12,000 visits to our customer service centres,” he said.
“The introduction of our Sydenham customer service centre in the heart of the Watergardens Town Centre will help meet the needs of this growing district.”
Mr Lewinsky said the new service centre was part of the overall vision of a Sydenham community hub at Watergardens.
“This space will include the existing Sydenham library, council’s customer service centre within the library.”
Also included are the Sydenham Neighbourhood House, future community art, leisure, performance and learning facilities, dedicated youth areas and youth services, community meeting spaces and IT facilities.
