St Albans: Morning walk ends in shooting

POLICE are investigating claims by a man that he was pulled into a car and shot at St Albans in St Albans this morning.

The 32-year-old suffered wounds to his hand and forearm.

Police were called to Alfrieda Street just after 7am following reports that a man had suffered gunshot wounds.

The man told police he had been walking along the street when he was dragged into a car and shot.

It is uncertain if the wounds were a result of a single shot.

The injured man has been taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital with non life threatening injuries. He is in a stable condition.

Local police are investigating.
