ENTRIES are open for this year’s Brimbank Writers Awards.
The eighth annual short story and poetry competition offers $3700 in cash and prizes, with awards for children aged 8-12 and teenagers and adults (18 and older).
There’s also an award for the ‘best English as a second language story’.
Workshops will feature established authors talking on how to write award-winning short stories and poems.
