BRIMBANK residents are being encouraged to get behind a fresh fruit and vegetable service supporting migrant workers and environmental programs.
Albion’s Amanda Thompson (pictured with her children Benedict, Magnus and Ivy) is a volunteer food host for the Ceres Fair Food scheme.
The food delivery service brings together local farmers and new migrants to provide sustainable income and employment opportunities.
Fresh fruit and vegetables are sourced from local producers and delivered to a network of community-based food hosts.
All profits support the Ceres Community Environment Park, an award-winning environmental education centre and urban farm in East Brunswick.
Residents can order fresh produce boxes via the Ceres website.
