A WOULD-BE burglar with a stash of disguises and weapons is among more than 140 offenders caught by Brimbank police’s operations response unit.
Deployed to Brimbank last September, the unit has questioned more than 6000 people, conducted 4400 breath-tests and responded to more than 1000 triple-0 calls.
In March, members carrying out a random car search uncovered drugs, house-breaking tools, false identification, disguises and weapons.
A 32-year-old man was charged with numerous offences.
In April, officers charged a Melton man, 27, with numerous offences relating to deception crimes across the state totalling more than $30,000.
Sergeant Robert Wilby said the unit would continue its focus on crime, public order and traffic offences.
