A MAN who was critically wounded and left in a pool of blood outside Sunshine Hospital is defying the odds and breathing unaided.
Sean Walker, 27, was shot in the upper thigh at the start of this month and was not expected to survive his injuries.
Three men, in their 20s, are in custody over the incident.
All are charged with intentionally causing serious injury.
Mr Walker, who is known to police, is on dialysis.
Police have released CCTV footage of a light-coloured Mitsubishi Verada sedan with a sunroof and spoiler that was used to dump Mr Walker at the hospital.
