TWO police officers from the north-west have been suspended over allegations of drug trafficking.
The officers were arrested and interviewed by Ethical Standards Department investigators last Tuesday in relation to a number of allegations.
A male leading senior constable was charged with misconduct, trafficking a drug of dependence, possessing a drug of dependence, conspiracy to pervert the course of justice and several counts of unauthorised information access and disclosure.
He was bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court on August 6 and suspended from duty without pay.

He was released pending summons and suspended from duty with pay.
An Ardeer man, 39, was also arrested and charged with trafficking a drug of dependence and possessing a drug of dependence.
He was bailed to appear in Melbourne Magistrates Court on August 6.
An East Doncaster man, 39, was interviewed in relation to possession of a drug of dependence and released pending summons.
Police seized illicit drugs and paraphernalia as they searched several homes and businesses.
