AN 80-year-old Deer Park man has been charged following an alleged indecent assault on a 13-year-old girl in Deer Park on Sunday.
The man was charged with sexual penetration of a child under 16, rape, indecent act with a child under 16 and other sexual assault related charges.
He was bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on May 25.
The charges relate to the alleged sexual assault of the 13-year-old at the Isabella Williams Memorial Park in Opie Street about 11am.
Footscray Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives would like to speak to a male witness that they believe was in the park at the time of the alleged offence.
