Hillside mum on school run blows .343 after crash

A Hillside woman was almost seven times the legal blood-alcohol limit when she picked up her young son from school in Caroline Springs last Thursday.

Police said the woman, 38, was caught after her Holden sedan veered off the road and struck three parked cars about 4.20pm.

Her son, 7, was in the car at the time. Nobody was injured in the crash.

Melton police attended the scene and breath-tested the woman, who later blew .343.

The woman’s licence was immediately suspended. She is expected to be charged on summons with a number of offences.
