Teacher’s bald move

THERE will be cheers all round when St Albans Secondary College teacher Di Phyland (pictured with year 9 student Emma) goes under the razor this week for the World’s Greatest Shave.

She will join the thousands of people shaving, colouring or waxing their hair to raise funds for the Leukaemia Foundation.

One of Australia’s biggest fund-raising events, the shave has raised more than $120 million since it was first held in 1998.

The Leukaemia Foundation uses the money raised to fund services to support patients and families living with leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders.
