A RAID on four Deer Park properties has uncovered up to 600 cannabis plants with a street value of more than $1 million.
Three Deer Park men were arrested after last Tuesday’s raids and face a number of charges, including cultivating a commercial quantity of drugs, possessing proceeds of crime and using a false document.
About $100,000 of cannabis cultivation equipment was also seized.
Investigators believe the haul has made a significant impact on drug distribution in the western suburbs.
Detective Senior Sergeant Tim O’Connor said the seizure meant the cannabis would not be available on Melbourne’s streets.
“It’s an extremely pleasing result to know we have again been able to prevent these drugs invading our community.”
