MULTICULTURAL Brimbank will be a hive of activity over coming days as residents celebrate Cultural Diversity Week.

Activities already held include a ‘places of worship’ bus tour, a choral concert with Brimbank multicultural community choir, and a celebration of Indian culture.

Cairnlea Community Hub will host a cultural diversity morning tea from 10-11.30 today, and there will be a Harmony Day morning tea and launch at Community West in Deer Park from 10.30-11.30 tomorrow.

Residents can celebrate Harmony Day at the Bosnian Islamic Centre in Deer Park from noon, Wednesday, or join in children and youth activities from 4-8pm at Errington Community Centre.

On Thursday, Westvale Community Centre’s activities include a sushi-making demonstration, ballroom dancing and morning tea.

Students and staff at AMES St Albans will have games from 11am-1pm, while Sunshine library will host stories and songs from 11.15am-12.15pm.

Thursday’s events also include pottery for children at the Hunt Club Community Arts Centre and an African culture and movie night from 5-8.30pm at Delahey Community Centre.

On Friday, there will be a morning tea and traditional African coffee ceremony at West Sunshine Community Centre and an African drumming performance at Scope in St Albans.
