Workers receive back-pay

WESTERN suburbs workers have been back-paid more than $163,800, including $42,000 for two Derrimut truck drivers, following an investigation by the Fair Work Ombudsman.

The two workers received $32,300 and $9700 respectively for not being paid redundancy entitlements or wages in lieu of notice after losing their jobs.

A Sunshine clerk was repaid $21,7000 in penalty rates and annual leave entitlements.
