TIME is running out for rising stars to shine at this month’s Brimbank Festival.
The Brimbank Stars competition is a chance for young performers to share their talents in front of thousands.
Previous winners Sam Stark and Emily-Jane (pictured) have used their success as a springboard to other high-profile competitions and have started singing as a duet at functions.
Cairnlea performer Stark made last year’s X-Factor top 40 and is now in the process of recording.
“Anyone who’s ever thought of performing should give it a go,” he says.
“It gave me confidence to enter other competitions like X-Factor.”
Cairnlea teen Emily-Jane finished first in this year’s Showcase national dance championships and second in last year’s national Stage Door competition.
The duo will perform at the end of this year’s competition.
Entries close 5pm tomorrow. Auditions will be held on March 13 at Harvester Technical College, Sunshine North.
